This time is Gabby's turn at the helm and she chose U and a quote. Well it was recently halloween and my OH loves zombies, do I have to say anymore?
I started by making a zombie-ish skin tone background by smearing Distress Inks on to a tag, I then scoured the internet for undead quotes and found one from the Zombie Survival guide relating to schools so a zombie teacher had to be order of the day. Found a pic - printed it, and stuck it on. I printed the quote and stained the paper with Distress Ink, and stamped the spiders web from and Indigoblu plate then added the yarn/fibres in contrasting colours.
Hope you like

Dragon's Dream TIO DT Piece - V and a Feather
For this time's theme, I have gone with Valentine, I know it's months away, but that's what I keep saying about Christmas and look how quickly that comes round!!!!
I started by basing the tag with pink pigment ink, I used a Rennie MacIntosh inspired Heart stamp in gold Pigment ink to create a background. The ATC topper I did some time ago from a stamp from Viva Las Vegas Stamps. I cut the hearts in Coredinations with a sizzix die and embossing folder in one, sanded back the detail. I added the feathers between the hearts and the under the ATC.

Dragon's Dream TIO DT Piece - Wedding
With Helen choosing W and Lace, for this theme there was really only one option.
WEDDINGS
I started with a Kraft tag, Used a Crafters Companion Stamp of a bride stamped in versamark with Grey Cosmic Shimmer powder to emboss her in (I thought black would be too harsh) and cutoff her skirt, which I promptly replaced with some lace. Mounted her on the tag and used the sentiment stamp in stazon black to remind what it's for.

Dragon's Dream TIO DT Piece - J & Diecuts
It's Eizabeth at the helm this time and she has chosen J and Diecuts.
For this tag I used an oversized chipboard tag and coated it in pale blue acrylic paint in an attempt to mimic the colour of those tacky tuxedos you see in movies. I then used a music stamp with versafine lagoon blue to make the background.
The focal stamp is Louis "Satchmo" Armstrong, a Stampsmith stamp I acquired recently, I stamped him in versamark and used ranger black detail powder to emboss him and cut him out to mount using pinflair. I used a cuttlebug cut and emboss folder to get the Pointy hand and used a die cut topper from KanBan to prove it was Jazz.

Dragon's Dream TIO DT piece - Y and Transport
It's my turn to choose this time, and after an absence of a few challenges due to adverse effects of a medication I am all revved up for this one.
I started with a Kraft tag and embossed it with a Spellbinder Mbossabilities folder, used Treasure Gold to make it more road like and pick up the embossing, I then attached a 3D sticker embellishment of a Yellow Sports Car.
I'll be honest (if you won't tell anyone) I was convinced I had one that was a New York yellow cab, but a sports car is way cooler.

Dragon's Dream TIO - K and a heart
For this tag I decided to go all ink, no paint but I did cheat and use embossing powder on one item.
I started by using Versacube chalk inks to create a blended background, I then used Cosmic Shimmer embossing powder to colour the Key. Stamping the Steampunk heart from Creative Expressions onto mirri card in a pinky red I fussy cut this out to mount with the key. I stamped the splattered heart and sentiment from Creattive Expressions Vintage Hearts plate in cherry red Stazon.
I then mounted the key and mirri card heart.

Dragon's Dream TIO New DT Piece
This time it's Elizabeth to decide the recipe and she chose the letter I and buterflies.
As you have probably noticed I am a bit of a music nut and some songs just stick with you no matter what, so my instant inspiration was John Lennon's Imagine.
I based the tag in Paperartsy Fresco Finish Amethyst and stamped the flower from a hotpix plate by them too. then I set about getting the right part of the song, not the most obvious part, but one that means more to me. Living for today, rather than what may have been or what may be. I used Tim Holtz word stickers to make the phrase, I used a rub on to highlight the capital I and then cut three butterflies from three different dies - Cheery Lynn (steampunk style one) Tattered Lace (Bottom left) and the middle one was a freebie on a magazine.

Dragon's Dream TIO DT Piece - Rock n Roll
My turn for the recipe this time, I went with R and Music. I have loved music all my life and will listen to anything. My record (yes vinyl) and CD collections will lay testament to that. I only object to that gangsta rubbish that calls itself dance music, you can't dance to it!
I started by going large, the full 12" remix version for me this time and got out the largest size tag I have which is from PaperArtsy and I'm sure Helen could tell you the exact size and dimensions lol.
I embossed it with spellbinders embossability aptly titled music, and randomly blended in Distress ink in Picked Raspberry, Faded Jeans, Spun Sugar and shaded lilac, as I wanted that 50's bubblegum type look to it. I used KanBan for the stamps, the music notes and piano keys, which I stamped in Versafine Onyx black. I again went to KanBan as I had had these toppers representing images that epitomised Rock n Roll and the record.

Dragon's Dream TIO DT Piece - Q and Gold
This time round is the super talented Julie-Ann choosing the theme, Julie-Ann is another of my twitter buddies as well as fellow DT member.
I wanted to go "Quirky" so promptly spent an hour going through various boxes of stamps, gave up as I had way too much choice and went and had a brew!
After said brew, I took the bull by the horns and went for - yes, you guessed it - the first stamp plate I looked at. Clearly clothes shopping rules apply when one selects stamps too.
Stamp chosen - Emily from the Steampunk Sarah and Emily set from Doolally pap (gotta love a firm called that!!). I stamped her in Black Versafine and coloured in with Distress markers, I find these are better for me than alcohol pens, and goodness knows I've tried.
I then used Spellbinders Embossabilities birdies folder directly onto the tag, and then used frayed burlap DI followed by Treasure Gold Renaissance. I then stamped over this in frayed burlap theh script from HP1006 from PaperArtsy.
I then cut some flourishes from my spellbinder dies in a really awful floral paper I got in a job lot, but cut down like this it's bearable (just).
I cut the word from gold(ish) pearlescent paper with a Tattered Lace alphabet die and mounted this onto a scrap of backing paper to make a label.
I then assembled the components and added a distresssed navy flower which I altered the silver glitter centre to Gold using glitter and Cosmic Shimmer Glue (I attempted a dome, but it sank).

Dragon's Dream TIO - DT piece B and a flower
For this theme it's Gabrielle's turn to pick and she has chosen B and a flower, so I have gone with Bee and a flower, mainly because I really like my Thistle Stencil from Imagination Crafts, and not for the thistle, but for the bees as the corner flourish on the same stencil. But more of that later.
I started with a wooden tag I got from my first visit to the MDF man - I will say on record now it will not be my last! I based it with Rose Fresco Finish from Papertartsy, then with Blood Orange and London Bus swept over the whole thing to deepen the colour to more red than pink. I did the same with the wooden rose which came from the sale bin at B&Q and was a twin pack for less than a pound. I added pewter Treasured Gold to hit the highpoints and give a worn look.
I coloured some Grunge Paste with Chutney Fresco finish and used this through the Bees on the stencil. I used Zesty Zing through a crafters workshop stencil to get the honeycomb effect and to make the stripes on the bees. I again used the pewter TG on the wings to make them shimmer like bumble bee wings.
I then decided that one tag wasn't enough so I decided to double it with one I cut using Quick Cutz nesting die set and some cream card, I continued the honeycomb onto the card and using ELB05 from PaperArtsy, stamped the phrase in Fuschia pink Stazon. I used a combination of worn lipstick and Forest Moss on the edges of the wooden tag to highlight them, then rubbed in some pewter TG. On the card tag I went over it with spun sugar distress ink. finished off with a rose brad, picked out in TG and a bright co-ordinating ribbon.

New Challenge on Dragon's Dream TIO - S and blue
I started this with no idea where it was going, I had based my tag with Guacamole Fresco Finish acrylic paint, and was also halfway through altering another piece at the same time and had some Antartic Fresco Finish left over from the top coat of crackling it so I splodged it on top of the green and that is where my sea started.
It's May's turn for the theme this time on Dragon's Dream and she has chosen S and blue, and that's where the inspiration hit with the sea, one of my favourite (but lesser known or played) Beatles songs is "An Octopus's Garden".
I continued the sea theme by creating seaweed courtesy of the Ltd Edition Fresco Finish paints from Lin Brown and by using a semi opaque colour (Seaweed oddly enough) through a splodge away stencil followed by a translucent colour (chartreuse) through an Imagination Crafts Stencil over and then washed with another translucent shade (Beach Hut) I got the layered underwater look I was after.
I then used my Viva Las Vegas Stamp of Otto and bathing beauty (minus the bathing beauty) and coloured him in with Distress Markers and cam up with this.
Fished it off with a rose brad to look a little more garden like
I am entering this into the following challenges:
Scrap it Girl - Tags and Bags
Stampotique - Paint or Pen
Our daily Bread Designs - Rain or Water
Sunday Stampers - Nature
Squirrel and the Fox - All Creatures Great and Small

Dragon's Dream TIO DT Piece - Z and a face
This time Silvia was at the helm for choosing the theme and I'll be honest, I struggled with the Z part, so I spent an hour rummaging through about 4 million sheets of paper (I kid you not) to find one with a Zig Zag pattern on which I backed my tag with, but it was a tad on the bright side, so I used a combination of Distress Inks to tone it down quite a bit, and a combination of stencils to add more layers to the background. I stamped the face Using Indigo Blu stamps and Versafine Onyx Black and used Distress Inks again to fade into the face leaving that part white.

Dragon's Dream TIO DT Piece - C and Metal
Well this time it was my long term twitter buddy's turn to choose the theme and she went with C and metal. I started by making a tag blank from white smooth card and covering it in a random blend of Butterscotch, Terracotta and Pebble alcohol Inks, I then cut Spellbinders Sprightly Sprockets in Tim Holtz self adhesive foil and cut the Corner Flourishes, and Cogs Edger from Tim's Sizzix Range in his self adhesive metal card and used the same alcohol inks to rust these up. I stamped the clock face from and word the Timeless set which combines G45 with Sizzix dies I aged these down with a touch of Vintage Photo Distress ink and added in the clockhands from Papermania Chronology range with a brad.
