At last, I am pleased to announce that I am a Guest Designer for Foil Play. This company supply high quality foils for use in cardmaking and crafting.
I was offered the position directly before I underwent my investigations and treatment for High Blood Pressure, the first lot of treatment made me very unwell for over two weeks and it has taken me some time to regain my crafty mojo. I have to thank Gill James and the other DT members for their patience, but at last here is my first DT piece.
I used Lellibot Crafts 6x6 Gothic Card kit available from Foil Play, Some HunkyDory black foiled miri card a Swirl Die cut out of double sided adhesive sheet from stash and silver foil also from Foil Play.

Dragon's Dream TIO DT piece - Y and Transport
It's my turn to choose this time, and after an absence of a few challenges due to adverse effects of a medication I am all revved up for this one.
I started with a Kraft tag and embossed it with a Spellbinder Mbossabilities folder, used Treasure Gold to make it more road like and pick up the embossing, I then attached a 3D sticker embellishment of a Yellow Sports Car.
I'll be honest (if you won't tell anyone) I was convinced I had one that was a New York yellow cab, but a sports car is way cooler.

Dragon's Dream TIO - K and a heart
For this tag I decided to go all ink, no paint but I did cheat and use embossing powder on one item.
I started by using Versacube chalk inks to create a blended background, I then used Cosmic Shimmer embossing powder to colour the Key. Stamping the Steampunk heart from Creative Expressions onto mirri card in a pinky red I fussy cut this out to mount with the key. I stamped the splattered heart and sentiment from Creattive Expressions Vintage Hearts plate in cherry red Stazon.
I then mounted the key and mirri card heart.

Dragon's Dream TIO New DT Piece
This time it's Elizabeth to decide the recipe and she chose the letter I and buterflies.
As you have probably noticed I am a bit of a music nut and some songs just stick with you no matter what, so my instant inspiration was John Lennon's Imagine.
I based the tag in Paperartsy Fresco Finish Amethyst and stamped the flower from a hotpix plate by them too. then I set about getting the right part of the song, not the most obvious part, but one that means more to me. Living for today, rather than what may have been or what may be. I used Tim Holtz word stickers to make the phrase, I used a rub on to highlight the capital I and then cut three butterflies from three different dies - Cheery Lynn (steampunk style one) Tattered Lace (Bottom left) and the middle one was a freebie on a magazine.

Altered Eclectics DT peice - Fleather topped box
For this box I started by playing with the Sheena Douglass - Faux Leather technique with a lump of Kraft card and some water and glycerin.
I used the finished product to cover a papier mache box lid. I covered the rest of the box with Debbi Moore's Shabberdashery Midsummer Night's Dream paper, and topped it with a wooden key embellishment embossed with detail copper and a ribbon.

Dragon's Dream TIO DT Piece - Rock n Roll
My turn for the recipe this time, I went with R and Music. I have loved music all my life and will listen to anything. My record (yes vinyl) and CD collections will lay testament to that. I only object to that gangsta rubbish that calls itself dance music, you can't dance to it!
I started by going large, the full 12" remix version for me this time and got out the largest size tag I have which is from PaperArtsy and I'm sure Helen could tell you the exact size and dimensions lol.
I embossed it with spellbinders embossability aptly titled music, and randomly blended in Distress ink in Picked Raspberry, Faded Jeans, Spun Sugar and shaded lilac, as I wanted that 50's bubblegum type look to it. I used KanBan for the stamps, the music notes and piano keys, which I stamped in Versafine Onyx black. I again went to KanBan as I had had these toppers representing images that epitomised Rock n Roll and the record.

Dragon's Dream TIO DT Piece - Q and Gold
This time round is the super talented Julie-Ann choosing the theme, Julie-Ann is another of my twitter buddies as well as fellow DT member.
I wanted to go "Quirky" so promptly spent an hour going through various boxes of stamps, gave up as I had way too much choice and went and had a brew!
After said brew, I took the bull by the horns and went for - yes, you guessed it - the first stamp plate I looked at. Clearly clothes shopping rules apply when one selects stamps too.
Stamp chosen - Emily from the Steampunk Sarah and Emily set from Doolally pap (gotta love a firm called that!!). I stamped her in Black Versafine and coloured in with Distress markers, I find these are better for me than alcohol pens, and goodness knows I've tried.
I then used Spellbinders Embossabilities birdies folder directly onto the tag, and then used frayed burlap DI followed by Treasure Gold Renaissance. I then stamped over this in frayed burlap theh script from HP1006 from PaperArtsy.
I then cut some flourishes from my spellbinder dies in a really awful floral paper I got in a job lot, but cut down like this it's bearable (just).
I cut the word from gold(ish) pearlescent paper with a Tattered Lace alphabet die and mounted this onto a scrap of backing paper to make a label.
I then assembled the components and added a distresssed navy flower which I altered the silver glitter centre to Gold using glitter and Cosmic Shimmer Glue (I attempted a dome, but it sank).
