This fortnight's recipe on Dragon's Dream Tag It On is supplied by May.
I started with a pre made Tag and covered it in Peacock Feathers Distress Ink, I the ran this through an embossing folder of Peacock Feathers I'd got free on a craft mag (i only buy them for the cover gift to be honest, if I don't want or like the Freebie it stays on the shelf). I cut the Peacock die from Tattered Lace out of some Teal Cardstock and added some Green feathers to the underside of the tail. I died the letter F with Teal Stazon to die the theme together and wrote the rest of the word Feathers with a Micron Pen.

Abstract Art card - or just messing with paint and ink and loving it
This piece is inspired by Ellen Vargo who was GD this symester Paper Artsy Blog and this week she did some abstract art using a brayer to lay down paint.
I started with a postcard sized piece of card and loaded the brayer with Toad Hall Fresco Finish, then went in with Baltic Blue and finally Bora Bora. I then went over with Beach Hut through a circles template, then Limelight through a leaves stencil. I then used Grunge Paste through a harlequin stencil.
I then stamped the "dots" on ESN08 randomly in the hand with Teal Blue Stazon, and followed this with stamping the words from HP1006 in Deep Lagoon Versafine.
I then wafted some of the limelight over the GP and then highlighted it with Aquamarine TG.
At this point I realised I had stamped the text upside down, so I turned it round :) !
I stamped the flower and the moth in Crimson Red Versafine on white card and cut these out before attaching them to the base.

Happy Valentine
I know this is a bit previous, but I thought those of you wanting something not too smushy for the bloke in their life might like a bit of inspiration.
I started with the Tag which was previously a DT piece for Dragons Dream (where there is still time to enter the challenge).
I then used Pan Pastels to create a foggy murky background, lots of inspiration for that up here at the moment, don't think it's been daylight since last year.
I stamped image from Doo Lally Pap - which is a reason to buy them if ever there was. Coloured him with Distress Markers and stamped the sentiment and heart from Graphicus in Teal Blue Stazon

Julie Anne Lee inspired Warm Fuzzies box (also Hazel and Cazz)
Firstly I will apologise for the pics, I waited for the promised brightness and it is yet again heaving down, grey and dark, so I did my best with what I had. I was going to artistically pose these outside, but rain is not the best thing for Acrylic paint.
A couple of weeks ago a twitter buddy Hazel mentioned she was looking through her Joys Jar (well it was actually a box she had made, but I thought Joys Box sounded oh so wrong!) and she explained it is some where to store written down happy memories throughout the year and then to look back at the end of the year/beginning of the next year, or when you feel a bit down during the year. My best friend Cazz then shot off and made herself a "Pensieve". She had also been reading a post on the darkside (facebook) from her niece who had done a similar thing.
I then went away for a few days to the Lakes and came back to see a beautiful secrets casket made by another twitter buddy and esteemed Guest Designer for PaperArtsy Julie Ann Lee.
I started my Warm Fuzzies box by covering it in Fresco Finish: Mudsplat, Toffee and then a wash of Stone. I painted the interior with Stone.
I then used Grunge Paste through a Stamps Away stencil, and I managed to get all the fluer de lys pointing into the middle (smug me). I left the top to dry and used some Rennaissance Treasure Gold on the edges of the base ( I should say I had removed the fixtures and fittings and had two halves). Once the top was dry I painted around the Grunge Paste with Chocolate Pudding to give it depth, I then used washes of diluted Chocolate Pudding and Stone to knock back the severity. While this next bit was drying I made my feather, drawing round a feather twice (I now had two tops doh!) so I used one of the tops to draw round again to make the bottom. These I cut out of some sheet music card stock and coloured it with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and set aside t dry. I had prepainted a Heart embellishment some week ago in inky pool and gone over with Treasure Pewter, but it didn't quite go so a quick swipe with Rennaissance and voila Bob's your Aunty.
Now it was time for the Final Florishes I had happened upon a piece of browny copper embossed card stock and I covered it with Patina Treasure Gold and buffed it back, cut it into strips the width of the lip of the lid of the box and glued these in place, went round the Grunge paste with Patina followed by a dash of Pewter. I put the box back together and added the Sentiment "Warm Fuzzies" from HotPicks Extra 03 in black archival, postioned and glued the Heart and feather and added a gem to the top of the heart.

First DT Project for Dragon's Team Tag It On - Script, L and a real stamp
Hi, I'm Jax and I have a crafting addiction. Ooops wrong intro.
This is my first DT piece and I hope it inspires you to join us at Dragon's Team TIO challenge.
I started with a Kraft Tag and ran it through a script embossing folder, I then highlighted the embossing with Crushed Olive Distress Ink, I then spent the next hour trying to remember which box the wooden letters were in, but during the search I found lots of other bits I forgot I had. I tinted the letter in the same distress ink and sat it on the tag, but it didn't stand off the page enough, so I switched ideas and went for Ranger Antiquities Patina embossing powder instead, I gave it two coats to give it a really enameled look. I cut the Cheery Lynn Steampunk hearts out of some Bazzil from stash, and stamped the jigsaw heart from PaperArtsy's EDY02 plate in versamark and embossed with Cosmic Shimmer Blue Raspberry Aurora. I used "love" and "notes" from Tim Holtz Idealogy Chit Chat tinted with Crushed Olive to finish it off.

Happy Big Birthday (on Monday) to my hubby
For this card I started by covering an 8X8 card in cream pearlescent paper, I die cut the film strip and old Jalopy from T!m Holtz Bigz Dies and in the film cells stamped another old car from a stamp plate I'd got from Viva Las Vegas Stamps I then used Kaiser craft stamps to create the background, and fir the sentiment I used my new Tattered Lace dies and mounted them onto black card. You may also notice the "frosting" in th car windows, that's them there micro beads on double sided sheet.

Patchwork Canvas
For this canvas I did a take onPapaerartsy's Christmas Cracker Video 2 all was going well until I started adding the TG and it went on a bit heavy in places, so I tried knocking it back by Dry Brushing Blod Orange over, you see what you think.
I started by drawing the grid onto the canvas in pencil then realised I was going to cover that in GP, Doh! Oh well, I could kinda make out where the pencil lines had been so I used my pallette knife to re grid it.
I used pallette knife for cross hatch square, Mini 101 and 49 (i think) as well as ELB03 to make the textures in the other squares, painted them in hues of minus green (Sherbert, Rose and Very Berry) and then added the TG - Royal Amethyst and Renassiance. I painted the wooden heart and flower with the left over paints and washed the top over with Blood Orange for depth, and finally added the metal wire heart (TGd with Renaissance) and button to the the centres of these emebllishments.

Tissue box cover a-la-Paperartsy
Leandra's video earlier this week on Paperartsy blog was about layering embellishments and colour that she'd learnt at a Finnibair workshop, I may have wimped out a bit, but I used metal embellishments, some buttons a wood and a card embellishment to liven up a tissue box I'd started (ok undercoated in cheap acrylic as a base and then got stuck) about 8 weeks ago.
I used Fresco Finish Chocolate Pudding and Cinnamon both diluted down to a thin wash then taken off with a wet baby wipe. I then applied Guacamole and Limelight with a wet baby wipe, then began layering the embellishments, some I swiped with Royal amethyst TG and the wooden butterfly I used Ranger Antiquities Verdi Gris embossing powder. As I have used some greens I would also like to add this to the Arty Inklings blog whose theme is Spring with some Green.

Christmas Fun DT Piece - Quick Christmas Card
I challenged myself to make at least two Christmas cards a week after being down to the wire again this past Christmas. I'm hoping that the incentive of meeting the themes of this challenge blog DT will encourage me to vary what I do as well, I am often a lazy crafter and go for the easy option, but I find challenge blogs and DT work make me think outside my comfort zone, or make me look at things more simply. I hope you enjoy playing along with us this year and that by the end of the year you have a tidy little stash of cards ready made so you're not covered in DS tape and glitter on Christmas Eve this year.
This Card was made from an old kit I had "stumbled upon" during a craft room clear out, quick and easy but effective.

Emergency Crafter's DT piece - Cold (Blue/Snowflakes)
For this piece I was challenged by @Darcy_UK_ on twitter as I had been sat in the craft room shuffling bits around and entirely MOJO less. She set the challenge of a Tag, 3 shades of one colour plus black, must have something recycled, circles, wings and lace.
Well not being one to shy away from a challenge I set about making the below and used the following items, #5 tag and eclectic 6 (wings) both from Paper Artsy, Cosmic Shimmer Arctic Lake Embossing powder, Couture Creations Circles Embossing folder, Salty Ocean Distress stain Tonic Tag Die Centre - mannequin, some lace from stash and a recycled Christmas Tag.
