Blog Challenge

Some crafty creations for some blog challenges.

Wish for a friend 1 : the inspiration was the sentiment rub on. I put the velvet paper in the centre of a red card blank, and positioned the rub on half top half bottom to flow along the card.

Wish for a friend 2: the sentiment was the inspiration for this one and I felt it was pretty enough to stand alone, I just mounted it onto a foiled card blank and let it speak for itself. Sentiment panel from KanBan and card blank from Hunky Dory.

New Beginnings 1: the quote says it all, this is foiled already onto the card blank, I added a hand made paper square in a diamond shape and added co-ordinating hand made paper butterfly.

New Beginnings 2: the inspiration for this was emigrating, a number of friends over the years have emigrated all over the world, I wouls want to emigrate in 30's luxury style on a liner (1st class of course) and that's what I aimed for. Topper and border from KanBan and backing paper is cut down from a 12X12 nautical themed sheet.

This was put together to celebrate what is "iconically" British! Red phone boxes (where did they go?) Royal family, and of course tea! A corner of hand made red and blue papers were mounted onto a white card blank, an oval aperture from a hunkydory card and stickers from a creative imaginations 12X12 sheet were used for the Brit Icons.

I started by using graphic 45 papers and chose the elements I wanted to use. I then spritzed with tattered angels juniper, placed a butterfly stencil (to represent the catterpillar/butterfly in the book) and over spritzed in cosmic shimmer golden mint.

I then layered on the elements from graphic 45 papers and some stickers to represent the hare's pocket watch and the drink me potion. Finished off with gothic lettering for Alice.

You're luck to find a phone box these days, let alone an old red one. I can remember the smell well though! Fab card, thanks for taking part in the Polka Doodles challenge.
