For this piece I started out with a wooden blank the sort that you often see religious iconography on, and base coated it with white gesso. I then used DoCrafts Artiste range of acrylic paints to create a background, I wanted a "dream like" feel to the background and as it was supposed to be Wonderland I started with purple, on the left whilst the purple was still wet I went in with pale pink till I got the effect I was after and on the right did the same but with yellow.
I then stamped the images from Oxford Impressions Classic Alice stamp plate onto the background and highlighted areas with promarkers.
