Pan Pastel Playtime or Getting very mucky quickly

I bought this clock blank ages ago from Crafty Individuals with the intention of doing something with it eventually.  Well it appears today was eventually!

I got my stash of Clarity stamps out and measured up which ones would fit the frames, then stamped them using archival black ink.

Then I set to work with the pan pastels to colour the images.  I then used Pan pastels tp give a wood(ish) effect on the front of the clock,  stuck the front to the back with Glossy accents (I think ouit works out as an expensive glue, but thought this warranted it) then added the mechanism.

Before the hands

after the hands were added

I would like to enter this for the following challenge Clarity Stamp - Anything goes
